    Explore the opportunities and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom, understand how AI works and how it can be safely used to create engaging effective learning experiences.

    This workshop is a great opportunity for educators to learn about the latest AI tools and resources and how they can be used responsibly to enhance teaching and learning. 

    Throughout the workshop participants explore AI tools and resources that can be used in the classroom and create a lesson plan that incorporates AI. 

    Participating schools will also have the opportunity to further the learning with their students at Ecolinc or Ballarat Tech School who are offering an AI Design Challenge for Students.

    Audience

    Recommended for Victorian Government school teachers and school leaders who want to learn about the latest AI tools and resources to support and enhance learning and teaching.

    Facilitator

    Leon Furze is an international consultant, author, and speaker with over fifteen years of experience in secondary and tertiary education and leadership. 

    Leon is undertaking his PhD in the implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence on writing instruction and education.

      Tuesday 6 August 2024, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.

    Workshop activities 

    • understand the concept of Generative AI (GenAI) and how the appropriate use of GenAI tools can enhance teaching and learning 
    • learn about how to safely use GenAI to refresh resources, personalise learning and improve your administration
    • learn to collaborate with other educators to share resources and ideas.
